June Currently!!!!

It's that time again!  Time for Farley's June Currently!  I love this linky for multiple reasons but one of the many is all the different bloggers I get to meet from the Rule of 3!

So here's what's happening in our household on this lovely June morning!

Listening: I'm making this summer's first Monday Made It and it involves spray paaaaaaint!  All the fun projects do ;o) (I'm typing this up while it dries)  I am revamping my "Where is our class?" sign that hangs outside of our classroom.  I get to spray paint, use super cute freebies from TPT, and play with my Cameo... What more could a girl ask for!?  Check back tomorrow to see the final creation!

Loving: L. O. V. I. N. G. that summer has begun!  Even though this was one of my favorite group of kids, this was a pretty hard year at times and sleeping in and relaxing could not have come soon enough.  Funnily enough though, I'm still excited to plan for next year.  Anyone else feel this way!?  Teachers are so weird, well at least this one is, lol.

Thinking: Oh man... just taking a look around this house makes me itch.  It's a hot mess and to be fair, it's mostly mine, lol. BUT WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF!  And now all my school stuff is home and Monday Made It's are beginning so it looks like JoAnn's has thrown up in here.  This is why we need a house, so I have a larger area to clutter! HAHA

Wanting: So my poor hubby and I have tried for the past two weekends to see the new Star Trek movie but something always pops up and we can't.  I think I might kidnap him sometime this week and make him go with me :o)  No one can stop me this time!!!!

Needing: Y'all we have been on the house hunt for six months now and I. AM. DONE.  I'm so over it.  Not necessarily the hunting part but looking at homes that need $30,000 in work and they want $250,000 because their neighbor sold for that.  Well you're neighbor's house is GORGEOUS and doesn't need work!  Sorry, that's my rant for the day, lol.  We're not quite beaten yet but the housing market is starting to go up again here (and fast), and I'm nervous we are going to have to get a house we can't afford just to have the space we need or get a house that's not that large and we grow out of it right after baby #1.  I don't know... we'll see.  I'm a huge believer in everything happens for a reason but y'all know how hard it is to hold on to that theory in the moment.

3 Vacay Essentials:  These are my absolutes, cannot go out of the house without them, necessities for summer vacation!
  1. My Kindle: HAVE TO HAVE MY KINDLE at all times.  I am constantly reading and take it everywhere just in case there is down time, lol.  I remember the good old days when there were at least two books shoved in my huge purse, not any more!
  2. Sunscreen: I am ridiculously white Irish and sunscreen is a MUST!  We went to Cocoa Beach last weekend and I was there for 3 hours, under a tent for the majority of the time (except for about 30-40 minutes) with LOTS of sunscreen on... AND I STILL GOT BURNED.  That darn 30-40 minutes!
  3. Kino Sandals:  These babies are made in Key West in a little shop that is ridiculously hot and sweaty, so naturally I call it the "sweat shop" (but it's not really).  You can walk right up to the counter and watch the men and women make them right there!  They are made out of leather and are AMAZINGLY comfortable and they last.  I have about 5 different color pairs and have had them for three years so far :o)  The joy of these beauties is now I can order them online instead of bribing my friends to grab me some when they go to the Keys!  These are the style that I have (and LOVE) but they have lots of other cute styles and have sandals for men and children.  Okay, I'll stop singing their praises but I just adore them and they're affordable!  Okay, I'm really done now, lol.  And just so you know, they don't pay me to advertise, I just REALLY like them.

Don't forget to check out Farley's blog Oh' Boy 4th Grade and link up what you're currently doing!

  2. Happy Summer vacation Sabra!! I can't wait to see your Monday Made It project! I am notoriously bad with spray paint and I always say I will never use it again, but I already have something planned with it! I'm sure you are very handy with it and I'm looking forward to seeing the sign :) :)

  3. I love your blog design! Found you through Currently linky. I'm trying to find an apartment because I'm moving so I can semi-understand (I've been on the hunt for awhile too). I am LOVING summer, I need some of your motivation to get some projects done :)

  6. I need to look at my list of things to make this summer and get started so that I can link up for Monday Made it. My goal is to link up at least every other week this summer.

  7. Yes, I too, love planning for next year. I usually start to think about it before the end of the school year. I hope your house hunt works out in your favor. We would love to sell our house and move to the country, but there are so many foreclosures in our area that is makes it impossible to sell for a decent price. We will just be patient. :) I am a new follower and look forward to reading more of your posts. I may have to check out the Monday Made It.

  8. LOL You are cracking me up, girl!!! I hear ya about your house- we are in the same boat. It's such a long, stressful process, but yes- something will come up and it will make it all worth it.... right?!

I can't wait to see your final product tomorrow. Are Cameos really worth it?? I have a Cricut that I love, but is the Cameo better?

  10. I'm already in planning mode for next year and our last day was Friday! House hunting was one of the most stressful times in my life. Once you find your perfect house, it will be so worth it. Good luck! I'm a new follower.:)

  14. Love those shoes, going to check out that link! So sorry about your house search. House buying and selling is one of the most stressful things ever! After our last move, we swore we weren't moving again until we were too old to make it up the stairs. Ha!

I am praying for you and your house hunt. $250K...yikes! Here the houses are reasonable but the NY taxes are insane!
